Poinsettia Plant for Your Holidays Decor!

A poinsettia plant is a popular choice for holiday decorating because of its vibrant red and green colors.
The plants could be placed in a decorative planter or container, such as a woven basket or a ceramic pot, and positioned in a prominent location in the home, such as on a mantel or tabletop. To add an extra touch of holiday cheer, you could also incorporate other festive elements, such as ribbons, ornaments, or holiday-themed figurines.
The plant is native from Mexico and its original Nahuatl name is “Cuetlaxochitl”
[Pronunciation: Kwe•tla•so•cheetl]
These plants were cultivated by natives people long before the European colonization of the Americas. In 1828, Cuetlaxochitl was taken from its native home and brought to the United States by Joel Roberts Poinsett, the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico at that time.
